Remote management

Is possible to log into the Velops at another house? If so how?

I want to be able to change firmware without going to another house. I know the modems IP address, xxx.xx.xxx.xxx

I thought typing in xxx.xx.xxx.xxx/192.168.1.1 would work but it did not.

Thanks!

Hi FMB

Yes, did you set up a linksys cloud account when you configured your Velop?

Use the phone app, put in your email account and cloud password. That will allow you to login to the linksys cloud account.

Re: Remote management

Yes app is working fine.

I want to log into it from a computer. Is that possible?

Re: Remote management

In my testing, I don't believe so. The public facing IP address is brokered by the smartwifi cloud, so the App can leverage it, but I believe the inbuilt firewall blocks all direct connections from the WAN side unless they are coming via the smarwifi cloud

FBM--

  Think the format is http://192.168.1.1/sysinfo.cgi

It will then ask for the login and password. Use admin as login and your router password (not cloud password).
