While we are waiting for the WUSB6100M adapter to be shipped, I am using an Embedded Tech 1×1 adapter based on the Realtek 8811 chipset. All the Mu-MiMo USB adapters I have seen are based on the Realtek 8811 (1×1) or 8822 (2×2) chipset, Embedded Tech have one of each as does Premiertek.
Two likely situations here: the driver Windows 10 automatically selected for the adapter work, but don't support Mu-MiMo or the EA9500 needs a firmware update to enable the blue lights, which is suggested in the user guide.
Easy enough to eliminate the layyer: does anyone have those lights working? I have an RE7000 with Mu-Mimo, and you would think it would turn those indicators on, but maybe not.

Hi, Ratledge. What's the firmware version of the EA9500? 1 pair of blue LEDs should lit on the MU-MIMO indicator if a MU-MIMO client is connected to the router. Have you tried connecting the RE6700? How did it go?

Thanks for the update, Ratledge. Connecting the RE7000 to the router should make the MU-MIMO indicator LEDs to lit. We'll have the Level II Support team take on this matter for you. Please send us an email at LinksysCares@linksys.com with your phone number and location. Also, make sure to include the link to this post.

I wanted to see if there was any resolution or followup to this as I am also running into the same issue. I have had the EA9500 since November 2016. I have several MIMO capable devices, although mine are more a mix of mobile phones (2 Samsung Galxy Note5, 2 Samsung Galaxy S8+, and also a Linksys RE7000). After the setup in 2016, I have seen the indicators on my EA9500 indicating MU-MIMO devices are connected, but after the May 8th FW update, I only ever get the white bars showing and do not ever see the blue MIMO indicators. I performed a factory reset on both the RE7000 and EA9500 and also attempted to disconnect the RE7000 completely and factory reset the EA9500 and attempt without the range extender, but I still never get the indicators.
