EA9200 HAS NEVER CONNECTED TO https://www.linksyssmartwifi.com
yet claims i've connected to an insecure "linksys"site 86 TIMES AND COUNTING!
Numerous security breaches have led me to discard 16 linksys routers unless they can
be associated with the BELKIN LINKSYS secure site.
Were they never supposed to be secure? What else could have happened?
These routers, which suited my purpose perfectly, refuse to connect to a secure Linksys
site from 25 different computers, claiming I have no internet connection or sometimes realizing the site is
insecure, refuse to connect from three different browsers.

not at work right now but i know i have never seen the https site listed in the browser address bar.
Should it not be visible?
Would the browsers not have a record of the redirect?
The https site claims I have never visited there which I find most curious, why can't I access it directly?
The security breaches I've experienced appear to be of the "man in the middle type" ,the poorly formatted linksys
web page differed from the Belkin labeled linksys site and made me question its validity.
Why is linkssysmartwifi self signed and listed as insecure by FireFox consistently?
Again I have never connected to the differently formatted https url, I can see it but it claims I have no Internet connection.
Will a screenshot help you explain just what I'm experiencing?
I am grateful for your help as a time sensitive project I've embarked upon requires a far more secure setup
without the constant requests for my passwords. Out of frustration I've had to abandon Windows as it became totally useless, but many problems still exist, computers completely dismantled appear in HEAVY use on the routers list of connected devices! The only device in use when the network is shut down!
Would you know a way to securely reset these routers as I'm now unsure the last firmware update was from a legitimate source,
most of the disappearing passwords and untimely requests for information revolve around an automatic update, which Ive belatedly assigned a manual function.
Once more I must thank you for your help

Found matterdark1995 post and it explains part of my confusion but could somebody explain
what i'm seeing in the second screenshot I've uploaded?
Why is there no record of connection to the site to which I am supposedly redirected?
I cannot currently connect to either of the two obviously different pages (one updated?) that are depicted in the
screenshots yet that "visits"number increased by 6 over one night!

Interesting one URL to *18.104.22.1687* is good and the URL to *22.214.171.1241* is bad. Do your router's have different firmwares or is one the cloud service and the other the local router WebUI?
When you enable SmartWifi services by not choosing all manual setup options during initial setup www.linksyssmartwifi.com is redirected by the router to the linksys cloud service for your router when Internet access is available. If the Internet isn't availabe it will display the local router WebUI. This is done through the router's DNS Server AFAIK.
Do you have more that one SmartWifi router active on the network at a time?
Keep in mind you can remote access your SmartWifi routers from anywhere using www.linksyssmartwifi.com using a browser.
