WUSB300N and USB Extension base

The adapter works fine when connected directkly to the usb connection on my PC. It can locate several networks in the area. When I use the extension base it cannot locate any networks and will not connect to my own network? Any thoughts on why the difference with the extension?

How long are your cables?  USB was designed to have a maximum cable length of about 3 to 5 meters.  If your total USB cable length is 10 feet or more, you probably need to use a powered USB hub as an extension base about every 10 feet.

I am only using the cable that came in the box with the card. It looks to be 2 meters.

Re: WUSB300N and USB Extension base

I'm using it without any issues. Probably idiot questions follow but,

Tried to make sure the connections are good on both ends? i.e. inserted fully?

The antennae are out? (I'd assume so since you can connect when plugged in directly)

The only other real possibility is that the place you put the adaptor w/ the extension is in a bad place - tried a different spot?

There were 2 usb cables/extension cords that came with the card - one thats like a stand with the cord built in, and another standalone cord - you try both?
