I bought a WUSB6300 adapter a few weeks/months ago and everything was working fine until some windows update. I also suffer from the disconnecting behavior some have told about. I tried the troubleshooting without success. I tried reinstalling Win8.1 to see if it was working fine, and it did. So I upgraded to Win10 to experience the same stuff. Connected to a USB3 port, not that it changes anything... I have a 120Mbit/s connection at home but I don't go over 3Mbit/s, but all was working fine in Win8.1.

You installed the 8.1 drivers in 10 and it works good?
Just wondering, what update did you get for 10? The creator's update?
If so, on both of my laptops it turned on my on-board wireless, without me knowing, and I wondered why things got so slow.

Yeah it probably is the creators update, it killed my FTP speed to my NAS from my gaming computer.
I reverted to the build before the update and it's working fine now.

I just received the WUSB6300 today and was wondering why I was having download speed issues and am thankful that I found this thread. I am running the Creators Edition, and it is weird how Windows installs the Realtek semiconductors drivers and ignores the normal attempts to update the drivers with ones downloaded from the Linksys site (saying that you already have the best drivers installed). So I ended up clicking on the "Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer" option which finally allowed me to override the Realtek drivers by installing the Windows 10 drivers from Linksys.
