After my EA8500 router automatically took the update to firmware v 220.127.116.11977, it keeps recyling the 2.4Ghz On/Off every 1-2 hours of usage and the only way it will connect again is after rebooting. I gave up and wanterd to isolate if the problem was in the latest firmwae or was a hardware issue, so when I reverted back to 18.104.22.168908 ,the connection was stable again and the router wont need to be rebooted .
Firmware 22.214.171.124908 has security flows and not good to use .
when you pay $300 for a router, at least you would expect it to be trouble free and safe to use .
Any plan for realsing a new firmware soon or should i buy a diffirent brand

I tried the default Wi-Fi settings after the reset without luck and then I made the changes to the settings as below
Security; wpa2 personal
Mode: 802.11n only
Channel : auto
Channel width: auto
The above setting are working in older firmware flawlessly
I used these settings with the EA8500 firmware 126.96.36.199977 and was not able to reproduce this issue. I ran 26GB through the 2.4Ghz and left it connected for over 2 hours without issue.
