I'm trying to forward a single port to my desktop computer and I'm not having much luck with it at all.
I read a bunch of posts on the web that say the port-forwarding on the WRT160N is hit and miss and the best way to get around it is to use Port Range Forwarding or Port Range Triggering. So far, neither one has worked.
In case any of this helps, here are the details:
- Running an iMac on a wireless connection to the router
- I live in Canada and the router firmware is version v1.02.4-CA. I don't see anything newer on the Linksys site.
The next thing I guess I'll try is to give my iMac a static IP. I have to say though -- I'm a Computer Programmer and I've helped setup countless networks with PF'ding. I'm pretty convinced there is something going on here with the router itself.
Any other ideas?

Upgraded? sounds like you DOWNGRADED 1.02.4 to 1.02.2 ??? think about it.
