WRT310N no Internet connection

Hello,

I have a WRT310N router and suddenly it stopped connecting to the Internet. I can't ping anything from the router page.

I tried restarting it a few times, unplugged it, left it off for a few minutes, plugged it back in, upgraded the firmware, still not working.

I tried another router and it works fine. When connected directly to the modem, it works fine, so the problem has to come from the router.

I can connect to the router through wired or wireless just fine, I just can't access the internet.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Try going in to the linksys configuration settings and disabling the wireless security.  And then see if you can connect.

If you can connect, then give it a different SSID name, change your password and turn wireless security back on.  Also change your router password from the default "admin".

If none of that works, you can try to reset it to factory defaults by pressing and holding the recessed reset button for 30 seconds and reconfigure.

You can use inSSIDer to find the best wireless channel.

That maybe cause by a DNS issue. Try to do standard reset and do the steps below.
