With both partitions recongnized now you need to create shares or configure sharing.
Are you using a Windows 10 system?

I wonder with SMB v1 has been disabled on the Win10 PC.

I just checked, it is installed. I still see the share from 4 different computers on the network. Under the share, I still see MYPASSPORT even though it has been removed and disconnected. I can copy and paste a file to these and when I plug it in directly to the computer, I don't see the file. I don't think I am reaching the drives but a memory cache in the router?
The TOSHBIA was connected to our old router that this one is replacing, Linksys EA 3500. I didn't have to do anything like this, just plug it in and set it up in the router and it worked.
Sorry, not giving up, just frustrated.

While the MYPASSPORT I tried is USB powered, the TOSHIBA HDD has an extrenal power supply. Both have the Drive cannot be read message. The Toshiba was connect to the old Linksys router that this one is replacing. I am thinking it is an sortware issue as well. That or it is really something simple and stupid, lol.

Update - My drive(s) are working now. I don't know when they started but yesterday, my daughter told me the WIFI stopped working and they restarted the router plus I see a firmware update - Version 1.0.171114.271
Thank you everyone for your help.

I saw someone said they were at 1.0.171114.271 ?
Are we talking about the same router?
